Abstract The rapid development of Internet of Things applications was one of the factors that drove the introduction of Edge Computing concept, which brings cloud tasks to the edge of the network. However, the lack of resource allocation management can cause problems or even extinguish the benefits of data being processed in Edge Computing. In addition, the mobility of devices makes this resource allocation difficult, as it involves the migration of tasks from one server to another, introducing new factors to be considered in the allocation optimization. This competition over resources of Edge Computing can be modeled by auctions in which, in the context of Algorithmic Game Theory (AGT), the user acts in an individual and strategic way according to his interests, analyzing what can be more advantageous. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to develop a resource allocation and pricing model in Edge Computing based on AGT auction models, considering user mobility as one of the requirements. | |
