Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study will be to investigate the methodological quality of systematic reviews on hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19. Methods: Any systematic reviews that have the specific objective of evaluating the effects of hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine for patients with COVID-19 will be included. The search will be conducted in the following databases: Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews - CDSR (via Wiley), Embase (via Elsevier), LILACS (Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, via BVS), MEDLINE (via Pubmed) and WHO-Covid Database. Study selection will be done by the Rayyan Platform by two independent investigators. Data extraction will be done by a standardized form, also performed by two independent investigators. Any disagreements will be resolved by a third reviewer. Methodological quality will be assessed using AMSTAR-2. Data will be presented in narrative form.
