Abstract

To remain competitive in the market, companies have sought to apply digital manufacturing techniques in their fabrication processes, seeking productivity gains through virtual simulations. Thus, in this project, accelerometer data will be collected to follow the robot's movement during the 3D printing process of large polymeric parts. These measurements will be compared with the trajectory predicted by offline programming to detect possible errors and allow for the optimization of the additive manufacturing process. This will be prepared to aim for a future concept of the digital twin of the process, which is linked to the trends foreseen by Industry 4.0. (AU)
