Abstract

Catecholaminergic neurons are related to the regulation of movement, mood and attention. Imbalances in homeostasis are implicated in many neuropsychiatric diseases, such as addiction and depression. Thus, research on dopaminergic neurotransmission, including the identification of these specific genetic projections and manipulations within the DA system, are of great importance to clarify the mechanisms of pathological phenotypes. Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) is a rate-limiting enzyme in DA synthesis and has been considered a classic marker for the identification of dopaminergic neurons. Animals of the THcre lineage are well used to study the dopaminergic system. Interactions between the dopamine D2 receptor and kinin B2 has been demonstrated in the literature, but little is known about the interaction of these systems and how the kinin B2 receptor interacts with catecholaminergic neurons.
