Abstract

The main goal of this project is the study of ion dynamics in fast sodium ion-conductors for applications as solid electrolytes and electrode materials for improved energy storage capacity and reversibility. Lithium and sodium ion dynamics will be characterized by spin-lattice relaxation and stimulated-echo experiments in NASICON- (Na Super Ion Conductor) and Na5YSi4O12-based glass-ceramics. The result found by these techniques will be correlated with results from impedance spectroscopy as well as structural features of both glasses and glass-ceramics. (AU)
