Abstract

The design of stabilizing switching functions for switching systems can lead to dynamics that present the undesirable phenomenon known as chattering, characterized by an infinitely fast switching. Given the recurrent infeasibility of implementing switching laws with chattering, this project aims to investigate design conditions for stabilizing switching functions with a guarantee of minimum permanence time in each mode, eliminating this undesirable behavior. The laws studied in this project are state or system output-dependent. (AU)
