Abstract

Deaf culture and identity are social markers that explain the inequalities suffered by the group when living with non-deaf people. It is important to understand these markers in order to think and practice an anti-capacitist education, respecting musical meanings for the deaf community. The objective of the research is to investigate sensory aspects that include musical perception to understanding the musicality of the deaf in order to work on musicalization, respecting their cultural aspects. The research will be based on bibliographic surveys in databases of different areas, such as linguistics, music, education of the deaf, and their interaction.(AU)
