Abstract

Improving the efficiency of the use of phosphorus (P) in the soil-plant system through the use of bacteria is one of the strategies pointed out by some authors to meet the demand for P during the development of the plant. However, it is still necessary to identify the contribution of phosphorus-solubilizing bacteria to plant nutrition, through analyzes such as the phosphorus content solubilized in the soil, phosphorus content in the aerial part, biochemical and physiological, since the solubilization of P is not necessarily associated to the ability to promote plant growth, moreover, this study will assist in positioning future research that aims to compensate for the use of phosphate fertilizers. In this context, the objective of this proposal will be to evaluate the potential of Bacillus subtilis BV 09 in increasing the availability of phosphorus, as well as its effect on bud sprouting and plant growth. The experiment will be conducted for six months in a protected environment at the Department of Plant Production of the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences at UNESP, located in Botucatu / SP, during the phase of slow and rapid growth of the sugarcane crop, during the 2021 harvest / 2022. A completely randomized block design will be adopted, with six treatments [Witness (T1); monoammonium phosphate (MAP) recommended dose (T2); B. subtilis (T3); MAP (1/3 recommended dose) + B. subtilis (T4); MAP (2/3 recommended dose) + B. subtilis (T5); MAP (recommended dose) + B. subtilis (T6)] and four repetitions. During the conduction of the experiment, daily environmental data will be collected, biometric characteristics will be evaluated weekly, physiological evaluations will be carried out biweekly, and at the end of the experiment, the biometrics of the tillers, fresh and dry mass of leaves, sheaths, tillers and roots, as well as nutritional and biochemical analyzes of the soil and the plant. The data obtained will be subjected to analysis of variance by the F test, with subsequent comparison of the means by the Tukey test (p d 0.05). (AU)
