Abstract

Roland Barthes was one of the most important critics and writers of the 20th century. His work is marked by (im)pertinent reflections on literature and literary criticism. Being a representative of the so-called nouvelle critique and understanding the critic as a writer, Barthes mobilized several languages, among which we highlight Marxism, existentialism, structuralism and psychoanalysis, to guarantee critics the right to a certain speech, indirect and epistemologically heterogeneous. In this work, we propose an analysis of the critique of ideology in Barthes, as well as of the operational concept of scripture and of the notion of responsibility of form, so that we can investigate, in the course of research, its Marxist bases. For this sake, Le degré zéro de l'écriture and Mythologies, Barthesian texts of sociological and Marxist foundation, will be the material of analysis of this work; the dialogue, in turn, will take place with the specialized bibliography and with the Marxian and Marxist texts that address especially the concept of ideology and the dialectical method.
