Abstract

Considering the current stage of development of information technologies, the expansion of internet network and the popularization of smartphones in Brazil, our objective is to understand the evolution of mobile payments in the country and territorial impacts, thus as the development of the main agents in the segment, considering the performance of banks and also from fintechs - financial technology companies. In addition, we are looking for apprehend the systems of technical objects and material bases in constant renovation that enable and supports the development of these new payment modes in brazilian territory. It's assumed that the geography's object of study is the geographic space, we will seek to interpret the consequences of these new forms of digital payment in the different uses of territory. The analysis of these new techniques, focused on smartphones as mediating technical objects, allows the identification of valuable trends in financial dynamics and importants consequences of the financialization process in the territory.
