Abstract

The aim of this study will be to evaluate the presence of cracks in laminated veneers restorations cemented with 4 different luting agents (Variolink Esthetic; Surefil SDR; Filtek Z100; VisCalor). Forty bovine incisors buccal surface will be flattened and polished with silicon carbide sandpaper. The incisors will be molded and feldspathic ceramic discs (diameter 10 mm x thickness 0.5 mm) will be manufactured through layering and cemented according to the indications of the manufacturers of each cementing agent. Filtek Z100 and VisCalor resin composites will be pre-heated. Crack production will be investigated using scanning electron microscopy image analysis. Furthermore, the polymerization shrinkage stress, the polymerization kinetics and the degree of conversion of luting agents and the flexural strength of the feldspathic ceramic will be determined.(AU)
