Abstract

This project aims to propose the application for a Research Internship Abroad scholarship (BEPE). The internship will be held from April 2022 to march 2023 at La Rochelle Université to be supervised by Laurent Olivier Vidal. The objective of the research internship abroad is to contribute to doctoral research developed through a scholarship granted by the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP). The opportunity to participate in the debates promoted by the Institut Littoral Urbain Durable Inteligent (LUDI), will allow me to deepen my reflection on the relationship between environmental policies and territorial policies, as well as international relations between countries on the Atlantic coast. I will also participate in seminars proposed by the Center de Recherche en Histoire Internationale et Atlantique (CRHIA), such as doctoral workshops and conferences related to environmental policy, sustainable development and territorial policies. In addition to academic activities, I will also carry out documentary research in the Bulletins informatifs of the International Committee for the Defense of l'Amazonie (1988-1999), in the collection of the Franco-Brazilian Center for Amazonian Biodiversity and in the archives of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition and the National Library. I intend to deepen the theoretical approach on the environment and develop the debate on sustainable development and Brazilian environmental policies around this concept, considering the role of cooperation agreements on the protection of the Amazon between France and Brazil in the context of structuring the Ministry of the Environment.
