Abstract

The present project presents new markets produced via Instagram, with the fitness sector as an empirical feature. Considering that all the literature has pointed out the use of intimacy in the production of markets on Instagram, the objective of our research is to specify what intimacy we are talking about, as well as who these influencers are. For that, we will make use of prosopography, to build the biography of these agents and of the image analysis to identify the intimacy that captures thousands or millions of followers. We believe that by embending these agents in their life biographies, we will have more clearly who these agents are and what kind of intimacy they disclose as a lifestyle. The research is inspired by Pierre Bourdieu's economic sociology and relational sociology.
