Abstract

This research project aims to examine the trajectory of Heleieth Saffioti (1934-2010), Brazilian intellectual, pioneer in studies on women in Latin America, composing the field of cultural analysis and the Sociology of Intellectuals. Due to her pioneering spirit, she became a reference among intellectuals and activists. From this, we ask: what is your trajectory in the field of Brazilian sociology and feminism? The objective of this research project is to examine the trajectory of sociologist Heleieth Iara Bongiovani Saffioti (1934-2010) in the light of her encounters, positions, dialogues and receptions. Our sociological, historiographical and political approach to understanding the trajectory and scientific field in which the author acted and contributed to the construction. The work plan is organized into three research fronts: bibliographic, documentary and ethnographic. The sources collected will be analyzed through document analysis, analytical reading and discourse analysis, from which we will systematize the results. Thus, we hope to compose a dialectical picture of her dynamic and contradictory position in this historical-social scene.
