Abstract

Obstetric violence encompasses several aspects and is considered a public health problem. Hierarchical assistance from the doctor at the center removes the autonomy of women and can lead to obstetric violence, which can be physical, psychological, sexual, institutional, media and material. Many women recognize the nomenclature of obstetric violence, but not all of them fully understand the multiple procedures and acts that make up this type of violence. As a result, the present research aims to analyze women's perceptions of what obstetric violence is. 100 women, over 18 years of age, who have already passed the gestational period will participate in the research. All will answer a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Questionnaire for the Assessment of Perceptions on Obstetric Violence. Participants will be recruited on social networks and a link to access a google form with the instruments will be provided along with the invitation. Women are expected to identify the aggressions they have experienced but do not name them as obstetric violence or identify themselves as victims. (AU)
