Abstract

In this project, we will analyze the cross-sections in two distinct channels of interaction with the liquid argon in the experiment "Liquid Argon In A Testbeam" (LArIAT) [1] that include interactions with pions and kaons. The technology implemented emerged from previous experiments such as ArgoNeuT [2], aiming to obtain a deeper knowledge of the interactions of particles in Liquid Argon (LAr) and improvements for new neutrino experiments, such as the "Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment" (DUNE) [3]. It is important to measure the cross-section between pions or kaons in argon, to study the products of neutrino interactions. Therefore, these analyzes are fundamental to reconstructing the neutrino interactions in the future DUNE detector. This study allows us to model the behavior of particles in the detector, in addition to creating event generation algorithms and simulations. (AU)
