Abstract

Pepper yellow mosaic virus (PepYMV) is considered the most critical potyvirus in pepper growing areas, limiting fruit production in Brazil. There is little information about the quantitative and/or qualitative damage caused by this virus in the culture. Therefore, this work aims to evaluate the productivity and fruit quality of sweet pepper plants of cultivars Dahra R and Heloísa, resistant to common isolates of this potyvirus, to the breaking resistance isolate PepYMV-21.23 (Sumaré-SP), inoculated at different phenological stages of the plant under greenhouse conditions. Also, evaluate the quantitative and qualitative production of fruits of plants of the susceptible Magda and Magali cultivars infected with the isolates PepYMV-21.23 (Sumaré-SP) and PepYMV-21.22 (common), separately.(AU)
