Abstract

Evidence suggests that lipid nanoemulsion for the treatment of cancer is an effective treatment alternative for transporting chemotherapeutic drugs to tumor cells. The LDE molecule, which has great versatility and minimal toxicity, is a new perspective to combat some types of neoplasms, including prostate. The reduction of chemotherapy toxicity led us to test the potential of the application of nanoparticles in combined therapy with docetaxel and aerobic physical training, with an adjuvant action in the treatment of prostate cancer. Thus, the aim of this study will be to evaluate the cellular and immunological effects of docetaxel emulsified in LDE nanoparticles in the treatment of prostate cancer and to verify whether physical training can inhibit tumor growth and increase survival. The antitumor activity will be determined in male rats, which will receive a single dose of 7,12-dimethylbenz [a] anthracene (DMBA). After tumor induction, the animals will receive LDE + DTX treatments and / or aerobic physical training protocol. In the end, the animals will be euthanized and the ventral prostatic lobe will be collected, weighed and subjected to tissue analysis or for isolation and culture of neoplastic cells, analysis of death, proliferation, migration and cell invasion. The animals' blood will be collected, the monocytes will be differentiated into dendritic cells and the lymphocytes separated for tests to evaluate the immune response of the different groups.
