Abstract

Reactor systems can be used for both electrogeneration of perfosphate (anode) and electrogeneration of hydrogen peroxide (cathode), but these systems have been studied separately. The suggested approach would be to study both processes coupled to the same reactor, where the processes would take place simultaneously. Using a boron doped diamond electrode (anode) and a carbon based gaseous diffusion electrode modified with a benzophenone compound (cathode). Analyzing studies with the profile of increasing scale, industrial interest, it is essential to study system optimization and reduction of energy consumption, thus, coupling two processes that can be used for joint degradation of endocrine interferents and other effluents are of extreme scientific interest. The parameters studied will be: system temperature, electrolyte concentration, current density and use of light irradiation. (AU)
