Abstract

In general, television studies are separate from film studies. This project is part of a larger inquiry that seeks to relate the mediums, in this case via the work of the Czech director Vra Chytilová. The central objective of the research in the country is to investigate which aesthetic and formal aspects make up the female protagonism in the first phase of the filmmaker's career and how her cinematographic work relates to her lesser-known television production, particularly regarding the sensory invocation. The Research Internship in Czech Republic will complement the results obtained until now in Brazil. The Institution where the internship will take place, the Department of Film Studies of Univerzita Karlova (FF-UK), has Phd students and professors with active research in areas of interest to my research. In addition, I highlight the proposal for transmidiatic analysis, presented by the Phd thesis of Professor Petr Szczepanik, who will supervise the internship. The specific objectives are the collection of bibliographic and audiovisual materials inaccessible in Brazil, and to strengthen the academic links of film studies between the host Institution in Brazil, the Department of Cinema, Radio and Television of the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP) and the institution where the internship will be held, the Department of Film Studies of Charles University (FF-UK).
