Abstract

Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction (LUTD) is defined as a disorder that affects the phases of urination, causing problems in urinary continence. In this context, the importance of recognizing the signs and symptoms of LUTD is essential for choosing the appropriate treatment, and the nurse is the health professional responsible for direct care to the patient, especially through Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) in the nursing process care in urology. Objective: To develop an animated infographic about APNs in urinary continence for nursing care in a Rehabilitation Nursing Clinic of a University Hospital in a city in the interior of the State of São Paulo, Brazil. Materials and Method: Following the methodological, non-experimental ethical precepts, with a quantitative approach for the construction, validation, and application of an animated infographic for nursing care on urinary continence. The development of this digital technology will follow four phases: planning, production, implementation, and evaluation. As a referential, these phases will be subdivided into subprocesses that make up more specific phases for the development of the material. The data obtained in the surveys and content production will be analyzed quantitatively by descriptive statistics. The results will be analyzed through a literature review and presented in the form of articles and abstracts at scientific events. Expected results: It is expected that the study will make available, in the future, for other health services, an educational tool to support nursing care for patients with LUTD.(AU)
