Abstract

Soybean is a very relevant crop in the current global world, being the main oilseed cultivated. This species can have its production severely affected by nutritional deficiencies, especially the element phosphorus (P), which is found in low concentrations in the tropical soils of our country. As an aggravating factor of this problem, currently, in addition to facing a war that directly interferes in this sector, the world is heading towards a crisis in the phosphate fertilizer sector, since available reserves are running out and for these various reasons, fertilizer prices are increasing. gradually. In view of the current situation, this work aims to phenotypically characterize soybean genotypes that present greater efficiency in phosphorus absorption, through the analysis of agronomic traits and root architecture, which may benefit this absorption capacity, aiming at the incorporation of these traits. in genetic breeding programs. Ten genotypes will be evaluated (IAC-1, IAC-2, IAC-4, IAC-5, IAC-6, IAC-9, FT Cometa, FT Xavante, AS 3730 IPRO, and NS 6700 IPRO) with traits of interest for the process of P absorption. The experiment will be carried out in a randomized block design in a factorial scheme (10 x 3 x 6), referring to the ten genotypes, 3 doses of P, and 6 replications. The doses used will be control doses (0 mg.dm-3), low dose (100 mg.dm-3) and high dose (400 mg.dm-3). Thus, the genotypes will be classified as Inefficient and responsive (IR), Inefficient and non-responsive (INR), Efficient and responsive (ER), and Efficient and non-responsive (ENR). The root architecture will be evaluated from images obtained and measured using specific software. The data will be submitted to analysis of variance and tests of means, aiming at the discrimination of the best genotypes, in addition to multivariate analysis and correlation analysis, to study the interrelationship between the evaluated traits.(AU)
