Abstract

In view of the theoretical constructs on human development and personality formation of a reductionist nature that underlie proposals in the field of current educational policies, this project aims to investigate the conceptualization of the processes of social constitution of the subject in the Cultural Historical Theory in Psychology and its unfoldings to Education, since it presents itself as an important counterpoint to such conceptions. To do so, it is intended to carry out a theoretical and bibliographical work that includes: I) the conceptual deepening of Vygotsky's work in the midst of the recent publication of his pedological studies that highlight the intricate relationship between development and personality; II) the study of contemporary research that deals with the theme in the mentioned theory; III) and the crossing of studies, seeking to weave reflections about how such conceptions on the process of development and constitution of the subject unfold in educational contexts. As a result, it is expected to contribute to the deepening of studies on the Cultural-Historical Theory regarding the social constitution of the subject, taking into account that this is an unfinished theme in Vygotsky's work and that it is presented in the works of contemporary authors in a distinct and often controversial way. We also hope to make critical reflections about the implications and contributions that such epistemological conceptions bring to education and the school context. (AU)
