Abstract

Metatexites are rocks that underwent partial melting but still had a part of their original structure, such as stratification and foliation, preserved. During tectonic processes of collisional interaction between the San franciscana and Paranapanemaplates, in the Neoproterozoic, a variety of metamorphic and deformed rocks were generated, among them, the metatext. These occupy different terrenes and Nappes complexes in the south of the Brasília Belt. Therefore, investigating themetatexites that occur in these Nappes becomes a key to understanding the collisional context and retracing the T-P conditions that occurred in the Neoproterozoic. The focus of this project is the metatext of Nappe Liberdade, part of Terreno Andrelândia, found in an outcrop in the city of Arantina-MG. Investigations of this metatext aim to determine the T-P conditions to which they were subjected to undergo partial fusion. Furthermore, in this project, the different rocks found in the same metatext outcrop will also be described and characterized. These rocks, previously known, are amphibolites, calcsilicate rocks, and granitic intrusions. Another objective of the work is to understand the type of protolith of rocks classified as amphibolites. Descriptions and chemical analyses, thermobarometry, and thermodynamic modeling will be carried out to achieve the proposed objectives. With this, it is expected to obtain data that make it possible to understand the complexity of the metatexites and other rocks that occur in Nappe Liberdade.(AU)
