Abstract

In this project, we intend to chemically modify graphene oxide with a first-generation poly(amidoamine) dendrimer (PAMAM -G.1) and explore its chemical properties. The specific objectives of this project can be summarized in two stages. In a first step, it is desired to prepare and characterize by different techniques such as Raman Spectroscopy, Infrared (FTIR), UV-Visible (UV-Vis), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR-solid), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), among others, the product of the reaction of graphene oxide with a PAMAM G.1 dendrimer. In a second stage, we intend to carry out a systematic voltammetric study of this material, after the formation of metallic complexes with potassium hexacyanoferrate (III) on the carbonaceous platform surface, using mainly the technique of cyclic voltammetry and graphite paste electrode as a working electrode. After optimizing the electrochemical system, we intend to test the produced material, as a sensor for the detection and determination of species of environmental and biological interest, using mainly the techniques of square wave voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry.
