Abstract

This work is directly associated with the configuration of the five islands of the FIBRE environment through the addition of IoT devices to be offered as FIBRE resources in addition to research on DDoS attack prediction. The FIBRE testbed was conceived to be a large-scale experimentation environment where researchers can carry out research or even teaching activities related to the area of computer networks. The infrastructure of the FIBRE testbed is spread across several Brazilian teaching and research institutions, each of which is called the FIBRE island. Each FIBER island has a common set of equipment and some islands even have wireless nodes or sensor networks. For each FIBER island there is a person responsible for the maintenance and evolution of the infrastructure, both in terms of hardware and software. The testbed was thought to be generic and thus, it would be necessary to add new features (e.g. IoT) that would allow specific experiments for the cybersecurity area. (AU)
