Abstract

This IC ("Iniciação científica") project is part of the FAPESP thematic project Vulnerabilitiesof young people to STI/HIV and dating violence: evaluating a psychosocial intervention basedon human rights (2017/25950-2). This project specific objective is to broaden the understandingof the meanings attributed to sexuality and gender by the high school students in the IC-EMprogram through the songs that mobilize their daily lives. The participant students are at theE.E. Leopoldo Santana, located in the South Zone of the city of São Paulo. Inspired by ManuelCastells, we intend to highlight the way in which cultural experience co-produces genderidentities, whether of resistance or legitimation of the hegemonic gender normativity.
