Abstract

The interactions between species can be diverse, such as predation or competition. However, contact between different species can have effects that are difficult to access, for example, when there is a change in the activity pattern of one of those involved. In addition, the avoidance or attraction of animals can occur in subtle ways, both in temporal and/or spatial matters. This project will evaluate the spatiotemporal interaction between dogs and armadillos, using data obtained from camera traps in eight protected areas in Brazil by the occupation model of continuous-time detection (temporal Markov-modulated Poisson process) with the dependence on the presence or absence of predator to understand their interactions and using the covariates: precipitation, temperature, and tree cover. I will participate actively in the accomplishment of the proposed analysis, improving my knowledge and also participating in other projects developed by the research group allowing a better insertion in the group and increasing the network strengthening the partnership between research groups.
