Abstract

The activities proposed for the scientific journalist are of two different natures - the first one is the rewriting of medical and academic texts in an accessible language and with the use of images and infographics; the second applies knowledge about journalism to design and carry out science communication actions among different audiences.Finally, the journalist must record these activities for the preparation of guidelines and reports for the university's communication channels on the results obtained by the Thematic Project.In addition, the professional should contribute to the writing of a scientific dissemination book on DSD in Brazil, where research developments since 1960 are reported and how the local casuistry differs from what is reported in the international literature on the subject.For this, it is necessary that the journalist has experienced the different stages of scientific work and of what science is from the point of view of those who do it. This only happens in the doctorate, in which the researcher has to develop an original research work.
