Abstract

From the observation of the increase in the elderly population in Brazil and in the world, they shouldchanges occur mainly with regard to the health system, associated with the increase inchronic diseases and health conditions resulting from senescence, such as PARI (LossAge-Related Hearing). Thus, it is important to investigate the relationship between the elderlywith PARI, access to health services and access to the city in relation to legislationin force. The objective of this work is to analyze what are the barriers, both architectural andthat may impede access to the Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER)and the city in general. This is a cross-sectional, exploratory, descriptive andquantitative and qualitative. The aim is to know the CER of Araraquara/SP and carry out a mapping of theeven to study about the facilities and barriers in relation to the accessibility that the serviceoffers. For this purpose, interviews will be carried out with managers and workers at the site in addition to themapping. It is expected to understand the dynamics of the health service and verify if the rightsinstituted by the inclusion law and the statute of the elderly are being granted to elderly people withhearing loss, thereby contributing to improving CER, hearing health policies andaccess to the city. The importance of this study is understood, as there is little research onthis theme in the literature, but still be a very relevant subject towards the increase.the quality of life of the elderly and people with disabilities in general.
