Abstract

This reaserch aims to understand the dinamics between mythological subject and elegiac genre on Propertius' elegies, having in mind that it is a poetics whose filiation is hellenistic, that is to say, in which mythology has estructural and decisive function. The work must be realized in two phases: 1) the theoric comprehension of antique poetic genres (precisely elegy) and myhology; and 2) to reading the corpus as an evidence of the connection between myth and elegy in Propertian poetry. Not least, there is a hipothesis in which Propertius presents two elegiacs programs, represented by the first and fourth books, subject for this study.
