Abstract

The present IC project has as goal the development of competences in the area of RF and microwave circuits, through the study and design of variable impedance matching networks in temperature for RF rectifiers. Due to the Schottky diode impedance varies with temperature, it will be the aim of this IC, the study and development of three input impedance matching networks for the half-wave series RF rectifier, so that the matching networks are optimized to 10, 27 and 50 degrees Celsius, thus maintaining maximum power transfer in the widest possible operating temperature range. This IC looks for a concept proof for the implementation of a bigger project, seeking the implementation of temperature adaptive networks, in this way, a single RF rectifier will be able to operate in a wide temperature range. The design and implementation of RF rectifiers will be carried out with the ADS (Advanced Design System) and/or QUCS (Quite Universal Circuit Simulator) software. In a sequence, the rectifier prototypes will be characterized in order to validate the initial proposal.
