Abstract

The São Paulo subway stations serve more than 40 million users monthly, and each year there is an increase in the number of people at the stations. Much of the increase in public is due to the expansions made in the network, currently, the Metro has a length of 101 km and 89 stations operating on new lines, all of which have fixed maps on which people can check for nearby streets and/or places of interest such as hospitals and parks. However, it should be noted that the information provided in this way and cartographic was not developed for the user experience, since it requires abstraction and knowledge about map interpretation and data on interconnections with other means of transport such as buses and trains. It is noted in Metro stations that when the user is faced with this type of specific difficulty is that they occur in stations of common stations for their doubts. Currently, it is estimated that more than 50 monthly requests to these companies are made to serve the public momentarily. In this way, the present seeks to develop an application in which users can interact and view routes to areas of interest, such as integrations with other means of transport and possible exits from the station. It is expected that with the results obtained, this pilot project will be a reference for other initiatives aimed at improving the quality of user experience of the São Paulo subway stations.
