Abstract

This project aims at outlining the itinerary that will be followed for the consolidation of the and the global semantics of the synesthetic resource of the chronicles gathered in the work "To a Girl with a Flower" by Vinicius de Moraes. The preeminent objectives are 1) to gather and order the editions of the chronicles "Inocência" (1941), "Depois da guerra" (1944), "Meninas sozinhas perdidas no mundo e dentro de si" (1944), "Sentido da primavera" (1944), "Conto carioca" (1945), "Para uma menina com uma flor", "Minha terra tem palmeiras..." and "Suave amiga" (1964), which compose the work, 2) describe, mainly in accordance with the theories of Genetic Criticism and Textual Criticism theories made by Castro (2001), De Biasi (2010), Blecua (1997), Grésillon (1994) and Salles (2008), the process of genesis of the work, the author's own handwritten the author's own handwritten interventions in the typescript in comparison with the alterations of the last editions publishers José Olympio (12th edition, 1981) and Companhia das Letras (5th reprint, 2009), and with that, 2.1) build a catalogue of such variants. Moreover and finally, 3) observe and perform a semantic study on the description of synaesthetic devices, according to the procedure of Global Semantics, prepared by Maingueneau (2008), which includes the observation of intertextuality, vocabulary, themes, the status of the enunciator and addressee, the dêixis and the mode of enunciation and cohesion, factors that have the potential to structure the association and stimulation of the multiplicity of meanings intrinsic to the unique linguistic composition of Vinicius chronicles.
