Abstract

This project aims to analyze in the work of Mário de Andrade and Murilo Mendes the link between poetry, music and technique. It is intended to demonstrate how this contact is mediated by two distinct paradigms: the forms of the oral tradition as a remnant of the past and the technical advance as a preamble to the future. Based on this double inflection, this work starts from the comparison between a selection of the poetic works, the texts on music published in journals and the prose books with biographical inflection. In this sense, it is proposed to explore the relationship between word and sound together with the construction of a poet's self-image, mainly in prose texts, strongly linked to music. Thus, it is intended to understand the circuits between poetry and music from the topics of singing, technique and fiction.
