Abstract

The FIBRE testbed is designed to be a large-scale experimentation environment where researchers can do a number of research and/or teaching activities in the field of computer networks. Although it is possible to do experiments in cybersecurity, there are no experiment models ready for one to do so, so the researcher has to dedicate time for the construction of a test environment and only then will they be able to start performing the experiments. The cybersecurity experimentation infrastructure that will be developed in the project will bring several benefits to the scientific community. As it is an experimentation environment, it has potential to contribute to the capacitation of human resources in the field of cybersecurity. The testbed will allow malicious activities and their level of evolution to be reflected in the experimentation environment, based on the study and temporal analysis of those activities. The objective of this project is to provide specialized support for the researchers, helping them to set up and to execute experiments in the cybersecurity experimentation infrastructure, as well as maintenance to the infrastructure.
