Abstract

This research aims to understand elements of the writing and publication process of the collection "O Professor de Matemática em Ação" published by Professor Ruy Madsen Barbosa between 2009 and 2014. of the Recreational Mathematics trend. In order to achieve our objective, we will carry out interviews, mobilizing Oral History, with co-authors of the books in this collection, to understand more specific nuances of the process of their creation and production. It is hoped through this research to know and seek understanding about the processes of creation of books, interests and intentions that were there, as well as conceptions about teacher training, recreational mathematics, problem solving and related topics, thus bringing a better understanding of the Mathematics Educational scenario and also contributing to the training of future mathematics teachers and those who work in the area. In addition, this research will contribute to the Ruy Madsen Barbosa Personal Collection (APRMB) - belonging to the GHOEM collection of old books - and will be part of the construction and preservation of Brazilian educational memory, specifically in the area of mathematics, helping future teachers to exercise the teaching.
