Abstract

This project aims to develop intelligent systems for large-scale nuclear backscatter spectrometry analysis using ion beams for material characterization. Furthermore, we intend the codes as capable of producing evaluations of sample parameters with metrological quality for the preparation of reports and analysis pages. It is also a goal of this project to analyze data from a study of the erosion of the internal walls of the Weldestein 7-X (W7X), the Estelerator plasma confinement reactor for the production of clean energy through nuclear fusion. The Max-Planck Institute for Plasma Physics obtained the experimental data. This project is part of a collaboration with researchers from that institution.
