Abstract

The project intends to investigate the relationship between curly hair (hairstyles) and environment (location, climate and culture), through the production of artistic works and academic research, in visual arts, in the context of art contemporary. The starting point of this study is the conjunction between bibliographic studies and a (self) reflection about the artist's creative process, wich takes place at the intersection between hair and the black community, which results in a understanding of this relationship as a specific ecosystem.
