Abstract

The area of Computer Graphics has been advancing and gaining strength in the development of tools to help artists perform the work of bringing virtual characters to life. In recent years, the entertainment industry has brought high demand for this service in the entertainment market using 3D animations, whether for gaming or movie applications. Although distinct on technical issues, these applications have come together to merge techniques that were previously only possible separately (for infrastructure reasons) to create visually appealing, beautiful, and true-to-the-world results. Among the many limitations found in this union, some elements still have obstacles to be overcome, such as the reproduction of the high visual effects of game films, such as the representation of hair, especially the curly type. This Scientific Initiation work then aims to study the existing methods for hair representation in movies and transform them into games, with the help of game creation engines such as Unity and the use of GPU parallelism tools. To find efficiency and propose an aesthetic pattern and usable by 3D artists. (AU)
