Abstract

This research intends to analyze the passage represented by Jenseits des Lustprinzips (1920), in other words, the passage from the first to the second drive dualism. We will try to highlight, based on previous texts, what remains and what changes in this passage, as well as what problems legitimize it inside the work. It will be given special attention to the notion of Vorstellung as an operative guiding concept to analyze this passage. It will be a previous work in the analysis of the consequences of such passage for the discursive construction of Freudian thought, having as a privileged point of analysis the problem of the structuring of the psychic apparatus; it will try to delineate in which way we can think about the structuring of such apparatus from the second drive dualism, giving special attention to the emergence and structuring of the instance called "Ego" (das Ich), in its relation to "Id" (das Es), first seat of the drives inscription. For the development of the research it will be analyzed the uses and developments which has been made in the German psychoanalytic literature in regard to the notion of death drive (Todestrieb). (AU)
