Abstract

Objective: to evaluate the diligence and safety of pharmacological treatment for excoriation disorder.Methods: this systematic review followed the methodologies of the Cochrane Manual for Systematic Reviews of Interventions, and the PRISMA checklist, for the treatment of quality review disorder. will be carried out in the following electronic databases: MEDLINE (via Pubmed), Embase, Cochrane Central Registry of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), LILACS and PsycINFO. In addition, ongoing RCTs will be searched in the following databases: ClinicalTrials.gov and the World Health Organization (WHO) International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP). Gray literature will also be searched through the ProQuest platforms and DANS EASY Archive, in addition to manual searching.Study selection and data extraction will be performed by two authors independently. The methodological quality assessment of the included RCT will also be achieved by two authors using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool. Finally, the certainty of the body of evidence will be evaluated using the GRADE approach. The protocol of this review was prospectively registered on the PROSPERO platform (CRD42022335911).
