Abstract

The project aims to develop techniques for the production and detection of structured light using a spatial light modulator (SLM). The structured beams will be used in the interaction with non-linear materials, with special attention to the coupling between different photonic degrees of freedom in the process. This type of coupling will be applied to the development of devices for transmitting and processing information encoded in structured light. For this purpose, the control of the orbital angular momentum generation will be used through the polarization of the interacting beams in the non-linear material. Furthermore, the coupling between the angular and radial degrees of freedom of vortices that interact in non-linear media will be investigated. The developed techniques will be tested and applied both in high intensity regime and in photon counting. (AU)
