Abstract

The main objective of this research is to investigate the organizing thought models that directors and vice directors of the university units of Unesp abstract about the inclusion program implemented at this university. Furthermore, we will seek to reveal whether the singular process of racialization of the research participants is present in the possible abstracted models and in institutional actions developed by these managers. We will carry out our study having as theoretical and methodological reference the Theory of Organizing Thought Models, authored by Montserrat Moreno Marimón, Genoveva Sastre Vilarrasa and Autora Leal. Organizing thought models are mental representations permeated by historical, cultural, cognitive and affective contents elaborated on a given situation, composed of the elements highlighted by the subject, the meanings attributed to these elements and the implications established between the elements and the meanings. To achieve our objective, we aim to carry out semi-structured interviews with directors and vice directors of the university units that are part of Unesp. The data will be analyzed according to the assumptions of the Theory of Organizing Thought Models. We believe the results of this study can help the university to promote a reflection on the continuous process of transversal activities that must accompany the implementation of affirmative actions in higher education, as well as support evaluations on the actions developed related to the inclusion and racialization program, in the context of Unesp.
