Abstract

Aircraft flexibility has been trending upwards as the performance requirements are pushed to the limits. At the core of the associated aeroelastic challenges are the consideration of nonlinearities arising from large displacements and separated airflow, and a suitable model for the prediction of gust-induced instabilities. The present research proposal aims to build an enhanced computational framework for such analyses. (AU)
