Abstract The objective is to carry out one research about the social effects which the pandemic has provoked in the domestic work in Brazil, with the intention of presenting an overview about the issue, approaching the domestic work as expropriated work, marked by race, gender and class aspects, which follow the expropriated labor. From the theoretical point of view, we intend to comprehend and expose the concept of expropriation as it is how is it developed by Harvey (2004), Fraser (Fraser & Jaeggi 2020) e Dörre (2022), and apply the knowledge acquired in the analysis of the object of study: Pandemic and the domestic work in Brazil. With this research, we expect to expand our knowledge about the neoliberal capitalism and about the phenomenon of the precarious work as a central component of the expropriation regimes in the contemporaneity. In turn, the study about the domestic work in Brazil, as a work that has always been expropriated, forces the reflection about the past of slavery in the country and about its peripherical position in the capitalist world. | |
