Abstract The digital technologies needed to meet the demands of Sirius - the new 4th generation Brazilian synchrotron have different computational characteristics, and of different orders of magnitude for both processing and visualization. In this project we focus at a particular imaging technique as an instrument to support applied research developed at CNPEM/Sirius' experimental stations. Within the area of Applied Mathematics, we refer to the topic of Inverse Problems as the main source for scientific challenges for beamline support and for the development of mathematical sciences with a strong computational bias. In this work, we devote attention to a particular image processing technique based on the phase recovery of data obtained at an modern accelerator like Sirius. Mathematically, this is a feasibility problem that can be solved by conventional projection onto convex sets algorithms. New conditions will be imposed on the feasibility problem, in order to guarantee better convergence properties, providing better imaging results for synchrotron users. | |
