Abstract Higher education promotes changes in social life, autonomy and freedom, bringing with it a more intense lifestyle, higher study hours, social and leisure abdications and more responsibilities. (Coelho, Tony, Laguardia, Santos, Friedrich, Cavalcante, Carbogim, 2021). During this period, university students experience situations of stress and personal and professional obstacles, so that they are vulnerable to high physical and emotional investments resulting from their own academic training, such as excessive pressure and a high level of demands and demands, which can cause feelings such as disappointment, irritability and worry during graduation. The relationship between these feelings and stressors to psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression is not uncommon. (Coelho, Tony, Laguardia, Santos, Friedrich, Cavalcante, Carbogim, 2021; Melo, Severian, Eid,Souza, Sequeira, Souza, Pompeo, 2021). It is believed that the use and construction of social technologies aimed at preventing and coping with psychological distress in university students can promote a process of reflection, change and the search for strategies to deal with the complexity of this type of problem. That said, this study aims to develop a campaign for the prevention and coping of psychological distress aimed at university students, more specifically, university students from the University of São Paulo who are on the São Paulo campus. Considered a social/educational technology, conceptualized by CAPES (2019, pg. 36) as a transforming method, process or product, developed for a population, which represents a solution for social inclusion and improvement of living conditions, which must be developed in a simple way, with low cost and easy applicability and replicability. For the development of the Campaign, a review of the literature of the last five years will be carried out, on the prevalence of psychological distress in university students and the measures to face adopted. Next, communications will be planned, communication channels and media mix to be used will be selected. This campaign will be developed at the University of São Paulo (USP), which is currently the largest public university in Brazil and one of the largest institutions of higher education in Latin America. The campaign developed, in addition to being educational, aims to transform reality, providing information, empowerment, reflection and awareness on the subject, being considered a space that promotes debate, interaction, dialogue and innovation. The proposal may include different forms of communication and awareness among university students, including: web lectures, production of podcasts, banners, posters, videos, live, flowcharts of confrontation, among others. | |
