Abstract

The purpose of this study will be to evaluate the presence of void and quality of obturation in canals of deciduous molar prototyped instrumented with rotary file developed for deciduous teeth. The sample will consist of 36 mesial roots of a second deciduous molar, randomly distributed into 3 groups, according to the instrumentation they will receive: manual K file, conventional rotary file and rotary file for deciduous teeth. All prepared canals will be obturated with endodontic paste of calcium hydroxide and iodoform and taken with disposable endodontic tips. A single operator will carry out all chemical-mechanical preparations. The prototypes will be scanned using cone beam computed tomography and the tomographic images obtained will be analyzed by Fiji Image J (BSD 2-Clause license) and e-Vol DX (DICOM Maiza). Data will be tabulated and statistical comparison between groups will be performed using the chi-square test, with a significance level of 5% (p<0.05).
