This research proposal aims to identify the presence of São Paulo's Art Deco culture at the end of the 1960s, a period when the recovery of the style had gone through an erasure in its previous years. Therefore, the twelve copies of the magazine Mirante das Artes, &tc, created by Pietro Maria Bardi, a personality who hadgreat interest for the study of modernity in Brazil, are taken as the object of study. This research will be carried out through a bibliographic review and systematization of records that confirm Art Deco within the discussions elaborated by the cultural elite of that time, drawing parallels between the editorial line and the performance of Pietro Maria Bardi under a perspective that is more linked to the private art market than to his participation in the Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP). To summarize, this research seeks to contribute both to the bibliographic and analytical enrichment of the Mirante das Artes, &tc magazine, and to the establishment of a reference for the study of Art Deco within Brazilian production, expanding the academic and theoretical range focused on the national modern period.
